October 27th Tradition

I realize it's the 26th, but I'll be getting out of work pretty late tomorrow, so going to do it tonight instead.

Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling was my mom's favorite wine, and her birthday was the 27th, so every year I've made a point of finishing off a bottle on that day. Birthday was the 27th and she passed on the 29th, so it sorta kills both celebration/remembrance birds with one stone.

This is a 2008 vintage. Strong pear on the nose. Taste is also ripe pear, with some sweet citrus flavors. Has a bit of a dry and slow finish.

This is actually a fantastic wine, all sentimental attachments aside.
