A Taste of Michigan

Tabor Hill
Classic Demi-Red
Non-vintage Table Wine.

You never really know what you're going to get with a wine like this. Inexpensive non vintage table wine is a very common thing that the Michigan vineyards put out. Most are pretty blech, as you'd expect. Sometimes you actually find one that's pretty drinkable though...as a cheap table wine.

This is a semi-sweet red, which is not something I typically enjoy. Smell is very fruity, a lot of grape.

It actually taste quite good though! Needs to decant a bit, but it's not half bad for the style. Very bright and energetic with an almost bubbly sweetness. Definitely some cherry notes which most Michigan wines have. It's also fairly tannic. I'm not really sure what to make of it, sweet...and well rounded tannins.

I might just be getting this one again, it makes for pleasant casual drinking. It's certainly not a snobby wine, but hell with it, it taste good.
