I always have really liked wines from the Northwest, and enjoyed having a good selection of them when I lived in Washington. Sadly they're not that easy to come by out here, but Ste Michelle is always around. I've bought and have enjoyed their Riesling several times, but never anything else by them. Interestingly enough their Riesling was my mom's favorite wine, so I guess I'll call this a toast to her memory on Mother's Day.
Smells of oak and perhaps cinnamon, with something sweet in the mix. Taste is very forward of jam and plum. It's actually pretty good, but the finish handicaps it a bit, being a bit too tart for me.
It's a good wine, but wouldn't be my first pick for a Cab in that price range. On sale? yah I'd get it again.
